3rd August 2016

Headed down to Seaton Marshes this morning where the LEAST SANDPIPER found last night was still showing from the Island hide. Before long it flew towards us, after which we obtained great views from further down the path, being only a few meters away at times. Black Hole Marsh annually turns up rare wader species, though all too often they are one-day birds, so really glad I decided to go for this little gem. Also present were singles of Little Ringed Plover and Med Gull.

LEAST SANDPIPER - Black Hole Marsh

Who said the summer months have to be quiet for birding?
