Walking into work today I saw a passerine on top of a tree on Bluebell Road. I pieced together that is was calling like a robin, but it looked far to large. As I got closer, it turned it's head and I saw its whopping great bill - A Hawfinch!!! I was hoping to find one of these during the influx, I should've known it would be when I least expect it. A great addition to the patch list, really made my day!
