Stopped off at heron's green bay, Chew Valley Lake on the way to Bristol today. I first located the Long-Tailed Duck flying not too far out, it dived a few times before disappearing, so I wasn't able to get any good shots. Other decent wildfowl included 2 goldeneye, and 1 female each of goosander and red-breasted merganser, though they were in flight and rather distant.
