Visited Lacock Abbey NT today to have a look round, and saw 2 nuthatches feeding on a moss-covered roof and in the gutters - behaviour I have never before seen. They returned several times, so perhaps they had found some hibernating insects in the moss or somthing?
If nothing else, then it certainly made them easier to photograph than usual.
