Went on an unsuccessful trip to twitch the Minsmere purple swamphen today with Tim and John. Highlights included singles of
Yellow Wagtail,
Little Ringed Plover,
Bearded Reedling,
Whinchat, Wheatear and Knot, 2
Lesser Whitethroats, 3 Green Sandpipers, 5
Spotted Redshanks and a total of 45
Little Gulls - Don't see little gull flocks like that back in the south west!

Knot - Minsmere
Also on the drive back, we had 2
Red Kites over the A303 one near Basingstoke and the other in Winterbourne Stoke again.
